If you’ve ever been to Port Elizabeth, yes that place thats generally slower than Cape Town, and you’ve been to a Red Bull event then we’re pretty sure you’ve run into this guy. Not only does he like flower crowns he also likes to take pretty pictures.. hopefully not while wearing his flower crown
Red Bulls resident events photographer takes a break from his crazy schedule to show us his rotation for last week.
MONDAY: ADIDAS NIZZA HI
I like having a comfortable ‘kick around’ sneaker and my previous pair of Nizzas were worn out before someone stole them. They’re a vintage reincarnation of the original Nizza basketball sneakers that were produced in the 1970’s.
TUESDAY : ADIDAS X RANSOM VALLEY LOW
The Ransom collaboration series’ (multiple) have always put exquisite sneakers on shelves – this pair is a low variant that suits the need for a shoe that goes with shorts or longs and it looks slick!
WEDNESDAY : NIKE BRUIN MID (CUSTOM)
Renowned for their comfort – I like it that way as I said. I customised these so that I would have a stand-out pair of kicks. I have no qualms about these – they suit my need for a durable pair of sharp-looking sneakers. They’re also a vintage rebirth – the Bruin has been available a lowtop for about 40 years until last year.
THURSDAY: SIZE? X ADIDAS ORIGINALS COLLECTION TORSION ALLEGRA
Every now and then I like to hit the street to vent a bit. This pair of sneakers landed just in time for the Red Bull “Wings 4 Life” training runs that are happening around the country. The sneakers are a collab between Size? and adidas Originals – reinventing the 90’s vibe that they were born with.
FRIDAY : ADIDAS PROFI OG II
I bought these from Shelf Life and I wore the heck out of them (as you can see) they are BEYOND comfortable! A pair of throwback 1907’s basketball sneakers that just keep on living – even though they look beat up.
SATURDAY : ADIDAS ATTITUDE XL
This is probably my most outspoken pair of high tops. And that’s why I have them – I had been looking for high tops for about 2 years and these were sitting on a shelf, the LAST pair. It was like I beat the Temple of Doom! It’s an vintage look that’s been pumped up with a massive tongue.
SUNDAY : ADIDAS SUPER STARS
Yassus! I have few words for these. They are my FAVOURITE sneakers. I keep them in their box because they are purely for special occasions. The 2.0 is in most regards the same as the original Superstar except for extra comfy tongue – buttery. I graduated in these. Literally.
